Regarding:
The flagship model was the Custom Royal. All hardtop coupe and Custom Royal-only convertible models were called "Custom Royal Lancer", and the "Custom Royal" sedan gained the Lancer badge soon after its introduction as well. The Custom line featured unique chrome tailfins (although early model year cars went without this trim), special tail light surrounds, and an upscale interior. Backup lights were standard on the Custom line but optional on all others. The Custom Royal also featured the hemi 270 Super Red Ram engine.
- I believe this is and error! If you look in the offical Dodge shop manual it will have a body section which shows all the 1955 model available I purchased a brand new one on Sept. 8th 1954 and you cant get any earlier then that. The royals and and coronet special coupe all hade backup light. The bezels wer solid and the custom royal and royal lancer had slots in them. User:69.179.113.197 13:49, 25 July 2007 (UTC)
Wrong photo!!
[edit]The photo on this page as of today should be replaced or simply eliminated. It is quite obviously a 1956 Dodge and has no place on this page. Doesn't anyone have access to a "public" photo of a '55? Jtnet (talk) 20:54, 19 May 2010 (UTC)
