No previous semi-finalists[edit]

The statement "Until the 2019 French Open, this would be the last major to feature a semifinalist having not previously reached a final, a span of 188 tournaments" is confusing (what does it mean?) and, if it means what I think it's trying to say, wrong: Johanna Konta, who had previously reached Grand Slam semis, was one of the four semi-finalists in the 2019 French Open. Australia 1978 was the last GS women's singles tournament to feature four semi-finalists who hadn't reached one before until the 2021 French Open.80.89.75.220 (talk) 08:45, 10 June 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Update: Ah, I suppose it means none of the semi-finalists had ever reached a final. That bit is true. But I think it's a better stat to talk about the semi-finalists never having reached one before - next time that happened was France 2021. 46.109.31.53 (talk) 12:14, 10 June 2021 (UTC)[reply]
