As The Rambling Man is busy at the moment, I have offered to take this on. Harrias talk 10:33, 27 October 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Background and pre-match
  • Single sentence paragraphs are frowned upon by the MOS; possibly merge the Paisley quote into the prior paragraph?
Match
  • Is there a wikilink for 4–4–2 formation?
  • I assume nowhere lists what minute Sunderland's goal was?
  • MOS:FLAG suggests that flags should be accompanied by text to state which country they symbolise; not everyone is a flag expert!
Post-match
  • It might be nice to briefly mention how both teams fared through the rest of the season?
References
  • All look good. Out of interest, where do you get your access to the newspaper sources?
  • Through Westminister Libraries' online catalogue, which includes ukpressonline (Mirror/Express) and the Guardian/Observer archive. It's worth applying for one if you're ever in the area, takes less than 20 minutes, you may or may not need ID, but if your sole purpose is to use their online resources an email address would suffice. Godsend considering my LexisNexis account had expired a year ago.
Images
  • Programme cover is fair-use with appropriate rationale, Wembley image is free-use with suitable caption and license.

Overall a very good article, and my points are mostly nitpicking. I'll put it on hold, but I doubt it will take you a week to sort it out! Harrias talk 12:21, 27 October 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you very much for filling in! I've made corrections and addressed certain points. Lemonade51 (talk) 15:30, 27 October 2015 (UTC)[reply]
No worries. Thanks for the quick responses; this article looks in great shape, so I'm happy to pass it as a GA. Incidentally, this source suggests the 67th minute for the Sunderland goal, but it can hardly be described as a reliable source by our measure. Still, it might give you something to base further investigation on if you're interested. Harrias talk 20:48, 27 October 2015 (UTC)[reply]
