Found an error in a source[edit]
The NEC men's basketball record book from 2014-2015 has an error. For the 1982 ECAC Metro Tournament, on Page 22, it has Marist vs LIU, but in fact it was St. Francis (NY) that played and lost to LIU. Here are 2 sources to support this information: New York Times Article and 1982 NCAA Record for St. Francis (NY). Just putting this here for future reference.

- Yes, this is correct above. Marist did not qualify for the tournament, as only the top 4 teams from each division qualified. 1982 NCAA Record for Marist While the Marist one does say South Division, they were in the North (they played 15 conference games, the south only played 14 each). This second game with Long Island was the 2nd meeting during the regular season, and since LIU was in the North division with Marist, they would play twice while only meeting the south teams once.
