reconstructing this is tough:

ref clues notes
singapore are smashing
  • day 1 results
strong thais
  • 2nd matchday results
  • top 2 teams will play final on 18th
  • standings and table doesnt add up, there is an inconsistency
  • probably no semifinal !?
Mainun nets 2
  • 3rd matchday results
  • thai and india with 3 out of 3 wins
  • singapure 3rd in table
  • why did india play malaysia for a second time?
Whoppping win..
  • 4th matchday results
  • singapure and india tied after 4th matchday (with 6 points=3 wins, 1 loss)
  • thailand plays malaysia on 5th day
  • india plays singapure on 5th? ("they abttle out")
  • day 5 played on same day as semi, so either day 5 wasn't played at all besides the india-singapore game. that treated as a semi
  • matches missing from groupstage, note india played malasyia twice
    • thailand-malaysia
    • philippines-india
    • india-singapore (that was probably the "semi")
    • hongkonk-malaysia

Link for 1st matchday results: Singapore are smashing

hope this helps, Struway2 (talk) 12:46, 23 February 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks. Good find. Though that makes India-Malaysia played twice. Another source would be perfect, but i guess that is unlikely to be found easy. -Koppapa (talk) 13:30, 23 February 2012 (UTC)[reply]

I have researched this tournament using Straits Times - Thailand beat Malaysia 8-0 on the first day (not Philippines). Some of the Straits Times articles got the opponents mixed up. All results are now on the RSSSF page. There were no semi-finals. Mcruic (talk) 12:44, 15 May 2014 (UTC)[reply]

How did you research it? The RSSSF source has changed since last year. -Koppapa (talk) 17:17, 15 May 2014 (UTC)[reply]
