Congratulations Tdhla1!! Great work!![edit]

Dear Tdhla1 just wanted to congratulate you on starting such a very large task, seemingly from scratch. As you will know, the Structure of the United States Navy breaks down not just into the Numbered Fleets you're starting with, but the whole series of Category:Type commands of the United States Navy, the administrative organization that sustains all these forces between deployments. Though List of units of the United States Navy is vaguely correct for some time in the last ten years or so, patchily, it gives a skeleton of the administrative side of the house, which you will have to add here.

Just make sure you add, under PACFLT and LANTFLT, Commander, Naval Surface Forces Pacific, COMNAVAIRPAC, COMSUBPAC, Commander, Naval Surface Forces Atlantic, COMNAVAIRLANT, and COMSUBLANT and you'll have a good skeleton of the admin organisation to start adding things to. I have added as further reading the 'gold standard' sources, Polmar's 'Ships and Aircraft of the U.S. Fleet' 'Fleet Organization' chapters as further reading, though I do not actually have copies of the two editions covering 1987 or 1992. Best of luck!! Buckshot06 (talk) 12:10, 18 September 2020 (UTC)[reply]
