African Pressure on South Africa was almost non-existent, Apartheid's fall was the result of economic pressure from the rest of the world, please detail to me in what way it was African pressure that led to the fall of Apartheid. African states had no economic or political influence on South Africa, even during international sanctions African countries continued to trade with South Africa --146.232.48.151 (talk) 06:34, 26 April 2012 (UTC)[reply]

  • Yes, Western influence was important in the fall, but what about the anti-Apartheid campaign led by the Organisation of African Unity (a precursor of the African Union)? I've reworded the sentence to show that this is not a microcosmic cause and effect, but a contributory factor. SFB 06:52, 26 April 2012 (UTC)[reply]
