Results problem

[edit]

According to the table two drivers finished in seventh place in the first race at Oran Park, how is that possible? Looking over results I have, Graham Watson was an entrant, not a competitor. --Falcadore (talk) 10:58, 5 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Dug through my records, and it says Graham Watson actually did enter his Ralt Australia Reynard for himself at that Oran Park meeting but failed to finish the race. Unfortunately my source, the relevant Auto Action and Motorsport News is buried in storage and can't be immediately retrieved for the details. --Falcadore (talk) 11:11, 5 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]
The points table in AMRY shows that he got 6 points at OP R1 but the race results in the same publication show that he DNFed that race. He is not mentioned in the text. The table that I got from www.formulaholden.com some years ago shows a DNF for that race. The AMRY table must be wrong and I have changed our table accordingly. Good pickup !!!
