Do Not Merge. We have had separate articles for each ceremony for several years. These are lists of awards, which exist for most award show articles by year. I'm not sure why a Wikipedia editor would try to be removing information from Wikipedia, instead of adding/enhancing it. --Bill shannon (talk) 17:46, 26 February 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Requested move

[edit]

– Since the Independent Spirit Awards have an inconsistent naming strategy, and the articles were inconsistent was well. For example, the awards for films made in 1985 were listed as Independent Spirit Awards 1986, because that is when the ceremony was held. (The information has since been changed to reflect the year of the films honored.) Because the awards themselves don't have a consistent naming strategy, I suggest that we use the naming convention of 1st, 2nd, 3rd, et al., for these awards, much like the Academy Award pages do. (Example) (A google search will show that this naming convention is already used.) Once these pages are moved, I plan to create the missing pages (the 7th, 8th, 10th and 12th through 15th ceremonies), and create appropriate disambiguation pages. I cannot do the move myself, but once the move is made, I plan to complete the pages for all ceremonies. Relisted. Favonian (talk) 23:29, 5 March 2012 (UTC). OK I think I've done all the moves. I would check everything as fixing the year confusion might have caused some problems. I can't seem to find page history for either Independent Spirit Awards 19851st Independent Spirit Awards. --Salix (talk): 00:12, 13 March 2012 (UTC)[reply]
