Reason for deletion

[edit]

This tornado can easily be incorporated into Tornadoes of 2001, as I already did. Even though a lot of people were injured, there were no fatalities. It was suggested to be deleted for a while, and now seems to be an appropriate time to delete it. 144.178.5.26 (talk) 17:21, 23 June 2023 (UTC)[reply]

@144.178.5.26: I should probably apologize for the brusque way I responded to your request at Wikipedia talk:Articles for deletion#2001 Myrtle Beach tornadoes. Another editor pointed out that perhaps you were asking for help completing the AfD nomination, something most editors accomplish easily by using Twinkle. That was still the wrong place to ask - you should have asked on your own talk page - but it may well have been an appropriate use of the {{help}} template for help with 'how to edit'.
Can you point to where the suggestions that it be deleted have existed for a while? I can do the additional steps for you if that's what you originally intended with your help request. — jmcgnh(talk) (contribs) 22:43, 23 June 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Done I've finished the AfD steps that unregistered users cannot do themselves. Still, I wonder if this should not have been a merge request, with a justification that the non-fatality tornadoes don't meet some notability criterion. — jmcgnh(talk) (contribs) 01:06, 24 June 2023 (UTC)[reply]
