Trades/Transactions[edit]

these have to be the most bizarre categories I have seen on wikipedia. Why even include trades and transaction categories at all if it's just going to include the most obscure moves in the history of the NFL? I'm sure it's a pain to go to every teams' different page and then pull some important free agency moves from each team and some important trades and include them here but unless someone is going to do that these moves should be removed.

Dead link[edit]

Flex Scheduling[edit]

The part in bold is either totally incorrect, or I am just misunderstanding it. "In recognition of this, when NBC began airing Sunday Night Football in 2006, there would be no game initially scheduled for weeks 11–17 – a game initially scheduled in the afternoon would be moved to the primetime slot, without stripping any teams of a primetime appearance. This way of "flexible scheduling" would not be utilized at all in 2007, and since 2008, it is only utilized in the final week."

It was actually used 3 times in 2007, 3 times, in 2008, 2 times in 2009, etc. The Wikipedia article about it even states otherwise, and so does the NFL website. --68.40.176.101 (talk) 14:45, 24 March 2012 (UTC)[reply]

What is the full extent of this rescheduling?[edit]

I find "In the wake of the September 11 attacks, a number of games were re-scheduled." Further up, I see the change which I am familiar with: week 2 games were shifted to January, and playoff games were postponed a week to accommodate making up missed regular-season week. Is that the full extent of the resulting schedule changes?

A rejected alternative was to cancel the games scheduled for week 2. That would have taken 1 home game away from about half the teams in the league (15 of 31 teams), and would have resulted in unequal number of games played: full slate of 16 games for New Orleans (should be San Diego?) (was having bye in week 2), and 15 games for each of the other teams. Carlm0404 (talk) 02:35, 3 December 2020 (UTC)[reply]
