Ridiculous amount of background[edit]

There's a ridiculous amount of background information in this article and little coverage of the actual season itself and the football played. Quite strange.--Shakehandsman (talk) 05:00, 5 September 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Dead link[edit]

During several automated bot runs the following external link was found to be unavailable. Please check if the link is in fact down and fix or remove it in that case!

Background[edit]

  • Did Arsene Wenger said it before the 2003-04 or before the 2002-03 season?
    • Clarified.
  • What type of concerns were raised?
  • Robin van Persie is a winger?
    • Yes, Van Persie was originally a winger. Wenger signed him with the intention of turning the player into a forward.
  • Numbers for the players in the table.
    • Certain players weren't given a squad number at the time.

Pre season[edit]

  • "series of friendlies across western europe" - Peterborough is in Western Europe?
    • Yes, Peterborough is in the United Kingdom, which is in Western Europe.
  • Stuart Taylor came in for which goalkeeper?
    • It was a friendly match, so he didn't replace anyone.

  • No match template for it?
  • Its a new section, so who is Lehmann is not clear.
    • Lehmann was mentioned as a signing for Arsenal in the background section.
  • Henry - Thierry Henry
    • Henry's name is already wikilinked under 'Background'.
  • Again, I am lost. Who is Jeffers?

Math[edit]

The article shows 10 UCL games, confirms 10 fixtures in its section, but Toure and Lehmann show 11 appearences? If arsenal only played 10 games, how can 2 players make 11 appearences? (6 group games, 4 knockout games 6+4=10)
