Map Accuracy

[edit]

The same problems I noted in the 2008 and 2012 maps for Alaska apply even moreso in 2004. Not only are there not borough by borough absentee and question ballot totals, but the early votes for 2004 are aggregated over the totality of the four administrative regions that comprise multiple lower state house districts and there is a small category called "partial ballots" that also aggregates over multiple districts. The reporting was so opaque that the Alaska Democrats sued to get a hold of the Diebold database, but no one has ever to my knowledge made it give reports that are consistent in format with the other elections since 1998. It looks again like this is just the precinct totals without the other ballot types, and with Absentee ballots as important as they are in Alaska, that's a major omission.--2601:B:8000:67E:949E:19BA:FAAE:C8EB (talk) 07:28, 26 May 2014 (UTC) John Foelster[reply]
