This is a non-notable storm if I ever saw one. Regardless of a local rainfall record, it really doesn't warrant an article, especially because I don't see any possible expansion from the couple sentences it stands as now. -RunningOnBrains 21:22, 29 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]

It was certainly a notable weather event with most places in Southern Victoria breaking 24hr rainfall records and extensive areas of flash flooding over almost all of Melbourne and southern VIC. Also noteworthy were record breaking cold temperatures for February and snow on parts of the Alps close to the height of Summer. The only problem is this article is titled '2005 Melbourne Thunderstorm' and I'm pretty sure there were no thunderstorms involved with the intense low pressure system that caused the weather event.
