Trey Grayson

[edit]

Numerous media outlets reported Trey Grayson's announcement that he will not run for governor in 2007.

http://www.courier-journal.com/apps/pbcs.dll/article?AID=/20060907/NEWS01/60907016/1008

Grayson's statement could not be more clear, so he has been removed from the list of potential candidates.

Billy Harper

[edit]

The Lexington Herald-Leader reported on Billy Harper and Dick Wilson filing as a slate for the Republican nominations.

He has been added to the list of announced candidates.

Peppy Martin

[edit]

WATE Channel 6 in Knoxville, Tennessee reported that Peppy Martin recently bought a surplused toilet from the Tennessee governor's mansion and said one of the reasons that she bought it was to inspire her own campaign for governor of Kentucky, indicating that she either is strongly considering or has already decided to make another bid for the office in 2007.

or maybe she's just crazy and has a thing for toilets.

Approval ratings

[edit]

Looking at this as the encyclopedia article it is, as opposed to news, it seems like giving Fletcher's approval rating at a key time (or times) makes more sense than constantly updating it to the most current? Cmadler 10:48, 22 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

  • I don't think listing 3 polls is excessive... it's hard to say what key times are. And only so many of these polls are going to be done. I don't see a problem for right now... after the election we can assess it better and perhaps incorporate the poll numbers into prose to summarize the leadup to the election. --W.marsh 13:43, 22 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]
