Shouldn't we have Cherepanov's death in this article? It is a major event that occurred during the season. I don't know why we shouldn't have it in there. CalBears99 (talk) 02:14, 15 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]

I agree, though I think we should wait until the dust settles. Details are still changing...having enough trouble patrolling the Avangard and Cherepanov pages for inaccuracies...redirect link until then?--Lvivske (talk) 02:19, 15 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]

playoff[edit]

Why is the playoff structure not mentioned? Are they best of 7 series or home and away? Whats the deal? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 77.232.15.51 (talk) 12:02, 27 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Because I'm lazy and don't get paid for this, lol. the whole page is a work in progress still --Lvivske (talk) 19:14, 27 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]

What is the seeding procedure for the 2nd round? I cannot imagine that it is correct, as it is right now with #1 vs #2, #3 vs # 4 etc. Normally, #1 would then be paired against #8, #2 vs #7 etc. but now with the #1 out, will there be a reseeding or can Omsk 'inherit' the top seed from Ufa? • New seeding execute every round according to regular season results. For example, Avangard (16th place) will play against best club of remained in each round (certainly if Avangard will promote in play off). MadMadDog (talk) 19:09, 5 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks for the info! So we will have to reorder the bracket after the 1st round is completed. Wild8oar (talk) 19:39, 5 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]
Possible matches in 1/4: Ak Bars - Avangard, Lokomotiv - Spartak, CSKA - Dinamo Moscow, Atlant - Metallurg Mg. (if CSKA will promote in 1/4) or Ak Bars - Avangard, Lokomotiv - Lada, Atlant - Spartak, Metallurg - Dinamo (if Lada will promote in 1/4). MadMadDog (talk) 20:15, 5 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]
