Which airstrip is it?

[edit]

The Lawa river extends along Suriname's eastern border with Guyana. The Antino creeks are tributaries that run through an alluvial gold deposit on the Guyana shield which have been mined for over a century. There are airstrips in several nearby locations. The operator's website says that it flies each weekday to the Antino site 7 strip 10 km west of the Lawa and [less often] to another Lawa strip, possibly at Tabiki (16 km NE) or Maripasoula (French Guyana) (24 km E). The Antino strip is described as a 600 metre long laterite gravel strip adjacent to a good quality field camp. It's readily visible on google earth. Perhaps someone who reads Dutch can get a firm read on the location.LeadSongDog (talk) 19:04, 4 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]
