Wuhan city or Hubei province?

Death toll

I'm pretty much sure that 63 deaths is an under-estimation now. A recent BBC article mentions that at least 60 died from the cold. Add the 36 killed from the two bus crashes and others more due to shoveling and roof collapses, it would be certain to mention that the toll is at least 100 as of now.--JForget 18:24, 2 February 2008 (UTC)

Article has a lack of factual information

This article discusses the event with a lot of abstractness, citing only a string of effects that it had on the economy. In the same way an earthquake article includes Richter scale and location information, this article needs some hard information too. -Rolypolyman (talk) 19:08, 2 February 2008 (UTC)

Transportation

I read an AP article saying that the corrals for the line of people seeking train travel were 3 football fields large (had to be constructed by the military) and people carried children on their shoulders so the children could breathe better. Also to get on the train people were carrying luggage and children over their heads as to get in as fast as possible. Is this appopriate information for wikipedia or just unneeded anectdotes?--Exander (talk) 07:23, 3 February 2008 (UTC)

  • It's not just central and southern China, everywhere in China is affected by the weather except for the North, Northeast, Yunnan and Tibet, so it should be "eastern, southern, central, and western China are affected."
  • In the box, it says affected areas are "Hubei, Henan, Shandong, Jiangsu, Anhui, Shanghai". That's inaccurate. Shandong is not affected, or at least not seriously affected. The top image described as, "Ice storm severity near Wuhan University" is in fact from an ice storm in Switzerland in 2005. Please see http://www.snopes.com/photos/natural/icestorm.asp. I have deleted the image, please upload a relevant image. TheSlowLife (talk) 00:49, 25 February 2008 (UTC)

No, I don't have issues with Commons. I just don't want to put them on Commons, because then I have to go through the trouble of OTRS tickets. These photos were taken by my family members. If it is a picture you take with your camera, then you don't have to go through OTRS. Just use "PD-self" license. You can look at this picture summary. Benjwong (talk) 04:15, 21 April 2009 (UTC)
