Caps and Goals[edit]

These statistics should not be updated during the tournament and should be left as is so that only prior stats can be viewed. Spartan008 (talk) 13:33, 30 June 2009 (UTC)[reply]

If that is the case, then the top of the article should explain that the stats represent pre-tournament stats, otherwise people (like me) are going to see that they are out of date and think they are helping by updating them. I just now saw your note above after making about 6 updates. --Mikebrand (talk) 02:08, 19 July 2009 (UTC)[reply]
Seems that all data in the table including age and clubs should be fixed at their values at the start of the tournament. --Mikebrand (talk) 12:55, 19 July 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Where did you get these stats in the first place?—Preceding unsigned comment added by Narios (talkcontribs) 09:48, 5 July 2009 (UTC)[reply]

The reason i ask is that i know for a fact that the majority of Nicaragua caps are incorrect as are most of the El Salvador ones. If they are wrong or listed without a solid reference then they should just be left blank.—Preceding unsigned comment added by Narios (talkcontribs) 10:00, 5 July 2009 (UTC)[reply]

My personal source is national-football-teams.com, it's a one-man job and the guy usually has accurate stats but the information to input is extensive so in this case info on El Salvador and Nicaragua is limited, therefore I just listed what he had. If you have a better source feel free to add it. Spartan008 (talk) 02:34, 6 July 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Well as a Salvadoran supporter i've researched the national teams games for the past 10+ years and have a detailed list of all match lineups, but i don't have an official source (i've also found national-football-teams.com to be very inacurrate). My details were obtained from various sites, so i can't supply a solid link. As for the Nicaragua games, well i have no exact numbers for this team but i do know that most of its players have played more matches than what is listed. For example, both Wilber Sanchez and Samuel Wilson (along with various other players) participated in both the 2007 UNCAF Nations Cup and well as the 2009 Nations Cups. These caps alone give them more than what is listed. I'm not sure if that's enough to have them removed, but in my opinion i think it'd be best to leave the stats blank rather then list incorrect ones.—Preceding unsigned comment added by Narios (talkcontribs) 07:57, 6 July 2009 (UTC)[reply]
