Talk:2011–12 United States network television schedule

Interesting quandary. I've noticed a couple of sources myself that consider America's Most Wanted cancelled, and yet the 2011-12 schedule clearly shows they will be airing a monthly AMW special on Saturdays. Does this mean it's not cancelled, or that the specials are some kind of new incarnation? KnownAlias X 20:12, 16 May 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Why does my edit keep getting reverted? It is obvious that the show ALWAYS runs 1 minute over every episode, and often runs at least 2 minutes over for the first few results and performance shows of each season. Even TV Guide puts that time note for every episode, not only on the website, but also on the channel and in the magazine. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Core2012 (talkcontribs) 20:59, 24 June 2011 (UTC)[reply]

We talked about this before on your talk page; assuming any information on Wikipedia without a valid third party source to reference it amounts to Original Research, and will be reverted no matter what, not to mention get you blocked from editing if you persist at it. And for what it's worth, the 1 minute discrepancy is not important to the article; it's never been represented before, and doesn't represent the over-all schedule, just the network's priorities when it comes to advertising. Despite appearances to the contrary on this page, Wikipedia is not a TV Guide. KnownAlias X 21:13, 24 June 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Friday Night Lights only aired reruns from the 08-09 season through the 10-11 season, and the original airings were on The 101 Network. So basically, it wasn't cancelled for this season. It should be removed from the schedule. 68.37.41.158 (talk) 13:47, 6 August 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Stop reverting my edits! 68.37.41.158 (talk) 21:41, 8 August 2011 (UTC)[reply]
Why are you reverting my edits when they're actually correct for Friday Night Lights!? 68.37.41.158 (talk) 01:25, 9 August 2011 (UTC)[reply]

The Celebrity Apprentice

[edit]

The Celebrity Apprentice should be known as just The Apprentice. It's the formal name for the series. 68.37.41.158 (talk) 21:20, 6 August 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Season 8 of Grey's Anatomy is not the final season. I added that it was picked up. 68.37.41.158 (talk) 20:47, 8 August 2011 (UTC)[reply]

I think the unknown programming on NBC is Friends with Benefits. I'm not sure yet, but I just think it is. 68.37.41.158 (talk) 20:46, 12 August 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Primetime: What Would You Do? is just a format of Primetime itself. It should be known as Primetime. 68.37.41.158 (talk) 20:48, 12 August 2011 (UTC)[reply]

And yet it is promoted by ABC on the provided source, not as Primetime, but specifically as Primetime: What Would You Do? It's not going to be a specific segment in Primetime, but the embodiment of the entire hour, and should equally promoted by Wikipedia as the same. Primetime: What Would You Do is the correct edit. KnownAlias X 18:21, 14 August 2011 (UTC)[reply]
I know that, but since that's a part of Primetime, let's just leave it as Primetime. I say that because there might be other news specials for it. Plus, it was known as just Primtime on previous articles. 68.37.41.158 (talk) 12:14, 15 August 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Unknown Category

[edit]

I think there should be an unknown category for shows that are unknown if they're returning or not. 68.37.41.158 (talk) 17:22, 14 August 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Summer Shows

[edit]

There seems to be a kind of edit war going on here. 68.37.41.158 keeps trying to add Rookie Blue. I've reverted it once already. AdamDeanHall also reverted it at least once, but then reverted himself, so now it's back, complete with citation. But the article, itself, says "The 2011–2012 network television schedule for the five major English commercial broadcast networks in the United States covers primetime hours from September 2011 through May 2012." Rookie Blue does not air between September 2011 through May 2012. I only single it out because I know it's a summer show but the principle applies to all summer shows - it seems to me this article isn't the place for them. -- 68.221.9.131 (talk) 10:55, 25 August 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Saturday Night Live also needs to be removed (not prime time), unless we're talking the Thursday thing, in which case that needs to be noted. -- 68.221.9.131 (talk) 11:07, 25 August 2011 (UTC)[reply]
I don't mean to start an edit war if I am, but I post only what I see on other websites. Rookie Blue was renewed for a third season, so I posted it. It's as simple as that. I agree about SNL and that this isn't the place for summer shows, but I have to add them if I see any. I'm sorry, but if I saw it online, I post it. Plus, previous articles had summer shows, so this one should. 68.37.41.158 (talk) 11:49, 25 August 2011 (UTC)[reply]
Just like previous articles, we can create a separate section for summer shows, so if anyone sees any information for summer shows, you can post it here. 68.37.41.158 (talk) 23:42, 25 August 2011 (UTC)[reply]
At the top of the page, I'm going to say that summer shows can be included as well, just to end this conflict. 68.37.41.158 (talk) 11:06, 27 August 2011 (UTC)[reply]
That doesn't make any sense. The point is that this article is a series of tables of fall shows. The lists are just gravy. Where is Rookie Blue or any other summer show on the table? So if it isn't in the tables, it doesn't make any sense for it to be in the lists. If you really want this, I'd suggest creating a '2011 Summer United States Network Television List' article. Including a note at the top is just another 'wrong' and "two wrongs don't make a right" (but three lefts do). -- 98.69.195.6 (talk) 07:32, 29 August 2011 (UTC)[reply]
Okay, there can be another article for Summer shows. 68.44.179.54 (talk) 13:57, 5 September 2011 (UTC)[reply]
There may still be some new/cancelled shows that are summer, but these are all the returning shows that aren't on the fall/mid-season schedule. (I'm gathering the wiki markup here for easy copying and pasting from the edit box for use in any forthcoming Summer article. Sorry about having footnotes on a talkpage, but it beats side-scrolling unwrapped PRE/NOWIKI lines and apparently mere mortals can't create pages any more, so my only other choice was to delete it and let you or others go dig it out of the history - figured this was the lesser of evils and it can be deleted from the talk page after the article creation (or immediately if it's not helpful).)

You shouldn't have removed those shows from the article yet. Bring them back to the article, but keep the shows here. 68.44.179.54 (talk) 01:38, 20 September 2011 (UTC)[reply]
Seriously, the shows should be back on the schedules by network. I know they're not on the schedules, but that's not a good reason to change them to summer shows in this forthcoming summer schedule. Plus, there's midseason shows. I tried to do that, but Adam Dean Hall threatened to block me, and that has completely unfair. Please put the shows back on the schedule. It would also be best to create a summer schedule when the season ends, so why don't we keep the shows on the regular schedule until May 2012? 68.44.179.54 (talk) 22:23, 22 September 2011 (UTC)[reply]
Instead of this whole summer article, how about we change the dates up top from September 2011 to September 2012? 68.44.179.54 (talk) 11:41, 24 September 2011 (UTC)[reply]
I created an article called 2011 United States summer network television schedule. You can start adding last summer's shows there. I am later creating an article called 2012 United States summer network television schedule. Bananas Monkey (talk) 12:14, 16 October 2011 (UTC)[reply]

The OT

[edit]

Although the show is known as The OT, it should be known as NFL on Fox because it's an NFL show and the games could sometimes go into overtime. 68.37.41.158 (talk) 01:33, 26 August 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Why did my edit get reverted for Rules of Engagement? It will start on October 8. 68.37.41.158 (talk) 15:39, 27 August 2011 (UTC)[reply]

List of fall premieres

[edit]

I've long considered converting the schedule table into a list of the fall premieres, by date. Anybody else consider that worthwhile, or is that beyond the scope of this article? JeffHCross (talk) 05:36, 5 September 2011 (UTC)[reply]

I think the way the schedule is is just fine. 68.44.179.54 (talk) 13:55, 5 September 2011 (UTC)[reply]
I meant as an addition, not replacement for the existing content. JeffHCross (talk) 03:28, 8 September 2011 (UTC)[reply]
You know, thinking of it, I now agree. 68.44.179.54 (talk) 21:19, 1 March 2012 (UTC)[reply]
Glad to see you agree, though at the time I was hoping for more than just the two of us to discuss it. I saw that you started to add some of the premieres from this past fall. Personally, I was thinking it would be most useful for the shows that hadn't yet premiered, rather than as a historical record. As such, I don't see much value in having anything listed now except for GCB, NYC 22, etc. To me, the value was that it was the same information we show in the Schedule for shows that have yet to premiere, but listed by date rather than DotW or Network. But if you (or others) think it's better as a historical record, then I can support that route. I do like the finale idea though. I'm racking my brain trying to think of the finale date that I just saw advertised yesterday. JeffHCross (talk) 02:37, 2 March 2012 (UTC)[reply]

I see no point in such to insert a table for the series or season premieres and season or series final here, because this page is only a schedule and not a list of these things. I think the page 2012 in American television it is a better place for it. -- Serienfan2010 (talk) 12:43, 2 March 2012 (UTC)[reply]

True, but how are we going to add season premieres? That's why I did this here. Plus, it could be like a premiere archive, which we really need here. 68.44.179.54 (talk) 23:03, 2 March 2012 (UTC)[reply]

News Magazine Start Dates

[edit]

I don't think the start dates of news magazines are needed because there's a new episode for them basically every week. 68.44.179.54 (talk) 15:18, 7 September 2011 (UTC)[reply]

I don't watch many news magazines, but I'm relatively certain that they do show reruns of stories during the summer. The composition of the episode may be new, but the content has already been shown. The recent story on Wikileaks was likely the same as originally aired in January, and the Top Gear story from 8/14 was probably the same as from last October. JeffHCross (talk) 03:35, 8 September 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Other Channels..

[edit]

Why aren't other channels like Starz, AMC, MTV or FX etc listed here..never really understood why its just these 5. there have been some good new shows on those channels, and some famous cancellations as well..--Stemoc (talk) 03:25, 11 September 2011 (UTC)[reply]

The channels we list are local channels. If you want to create a separate article for other channels, feel free. 68.44.179.54 (talk) 13:52, 11 September 2011 (UTC)[reply]
Or, to put it another way, the five channels include here are commonly called "network television" or "broadcast television". Hence the title of the article. JeffHCross (talk) 01:36, 14 September 2011 (UTC)[reply]
You can always add a sub-topic at the bottom of the page listing other famous shows on other major channels like HBO, AMC, FX (which we picked or canceled) whose shows have won many emmy awards as well....--Stemoc (talk) 22:22, 21 September 2011 (UTC)[reply]
You know, I would like to have some other networks in the schedule, but still exclude summer shows. 68.44.179.54 (talk) 21:27, 1 March 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Color-Coded Ratings Representations

[edit]

I think the latest several edits by 91.120.152.24 should be reverted. Color-coding the shows for ratings should only be done at the end of the season, not with every fluctuation of the week. At the very least, the legend explaining the color codes should be brought in from previous seasons' pages. --98.69.171.138 (talk) 17:07, 15 September 2011 (UTC)[reply]

I reverted these edits. -- Serienfan2010 (talk) 17:13, 15 September 2011 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks! --98.69.171.138 (talk) 18:34, 15 September 2011 (UTC)[reply]

I think Shark Tank should be put back on the schedule as a spring/winter series. 68.44.179.54 (talk) 21:58, 22 September 2011 (UTC)[reply]

(E) Annotations

[edit]

I've noticed certain programs annotated with an (E) after the program name (such as the entire NBC Saturday evening schedule). There is nothing in the article to explain the meaning of this annotation. It does not appear to be a premier date, as other programs may be annotated with.

I've noticed previous years, some programs are annotated with (R). Is the (E) related? I don't see (E) in the Wikipedia page for any previous year's schedule. Sadly, I couldn't find an explanation of the (R) in previous years. I was hoping an explanation of the (R) might provide some context to explain the (E), but no luck.

Could someone who knows the meaning of (E) please edit the page to provide an explanation? — Preceding unsigned comment added by 67.188.42.189 (talk) 17:21, 25 September 2011 (UTC)[reply]

(E) is encore. 68.44.179.54 (talk) 23:19, 28 September 2011 (UTC)[reply]

(R) stands for Rerun, the word normal people use for reruns. Sometime in the '90s, network PR departments started using "Encore" to make it seem like viewers demand reruns.

On a side note, the schedule has become too comprehensive to be read easily. --207.255.209.41 (talk) 19:49, 31 March 2012 (UTC)[reply]

NBC Encores

[edit]

Since NBC has no original programming on Saturday nights, it's not useful to put encores for NBC on Saturday night. I think they should be removed. There should be no programming on NBC listed on Saturday unless there's a new episode of an original series. 68.44.179.54 (talk) 00:38, 3 October 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Why can't you just leave the NBC encores in the schedule where they belong? AdamDeanHall (talk) 23:38, 9 October 2011 (UTC)[reply]
I think removing NBC's Saturday night encores will confuse visitors who might conclude NBC doesn't broadcast Saturday night programming (The CW doesn't). Therefore, I feel the encores should be there. AddThreeAndFive (talk) 18:39, 11 October 2011 (UTC)[reply]
I concur. I was about to start a thread about NBC Saturday nights.--TonyTheTiger (T/C/BIO/WP:CHICAGO/WP:FOUR) 01:43, 22 October 2011 (UTC)[reply]
Here's an interesting wrinkle to all of this: First-runs of The Firm just got dumped on the night.(http://www.deadline.com/2012/02/nbc-sends-firm-to-saturdays-schedules-new-drama-awake-in-thursday-10-pm-slot/). I'd like to get a discussion going about whether or not this should change the current consensus about including NBC on the actual Saturday grid. FTheorycreation (talk) 19:16, 3 February 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Fear Factor will not air on NBC. 68.44.179.54 (talk) 17:57, 15 October 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Yes it will, they're advertising it on NBC to return on NBC. Why would NBC have commercials for a show they're saying will be on NBC if it won't? Darquis (talk) 17:36, 31 October 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Full Season Pickups

[edit]

This section, in my opinion, needs to be looked at in a serious way. Just two examples from CBS without investigating any other show.

How I Met Your Mother was supposedly picked up for 24 episodes on September 19, 2011. This is based on a tweet where someone said, after episode 2 aired, that they hoped everyone liked the other 22 episodes. Aside from the fact that this doesn't show when the show might have been picked up for that many episodes, HIMYM was renewed through the 2012-2013 season in March
CSI NY has been picked up for 18 episodes, and the actor interviewed said he found out around game 5 of the NHL finals (which would have been early June). According to wiki, the show wasn't picked up til July 19, which is when that article is printed.

Honestly, I don't think shows that are getting full seasons, returning from last year, belong on this list. It's one thing if a show with 18 eps like CSI NY gets picked up for 22 or 24 or what have you, but previously known renewals don't belong. I also think that if something does get a pickup (or renewal) we should list the actual date it happened, not when some article came out. But I didn't want to muck with the list without hearing what others thought. Darquis (talk) 17:44, 31 October 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Don't worry about them! 74.105.45.149 (talk) 19:44, 1 November 2011 (UTC)[reply]
That doesn't seem conducive to an encyclopedia. I'm going to start fixing them as I see them (and get the time) Darquis (talk) 03:05, 7 November 2011 (UTC)[reply]
Ok, I think I got all the prior season renewals. I left shows that were starting their first season this year as they were as I'm not sure where the best place to list those might be. They probably need to be looked at (and given the "sources" for some of these pickups that were removed, their sources might be questionable as well) Darquis (talk) 02:44, 9 November 2011 (UTC)[reply]
I think it's best that only the new series should be on that list. 68.44.179.54 (talk) 14:55, 13 November 2011 (UTC)[reply]
How about this? Why don't we put every show there, full season or not, and rename the section? 69.115.133.93 (talk) 20:10, 4 February 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Encore Programming

[edit]

I think there should be a color for encore programming. Plus, everything with an encore should be named Encore Programming. 68.44.179.54 (talk) 19:06, 3 November 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Also, I will restore the NBC encores, but no show titles, though; just Encore Programming. Specials, movies, and others should also be named encore programming. 68.44.179.54 (talk) 19:18, 3 November 2011 (UTC)[reply]
It seems like people were of the opinion that more information was better than less the last time you suggested changes to encores, and I rather agree - encore programming only tells me that original content was not aired - not what actually was aired. After all, you wouldn't just list everything as "original programming" without saying what it was. Darquis (talk) 03:13, 7 November 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Prime Suspect

[edit]

If Prime Suspect intends to produce episode 13 next week, do they intend to air 13 episodes?--TonyTheTiger (T/C/BIO/WP:CHICAGO/WP:FOUR) 02:28, 16 November 2011 (UTC)[reply]

I'm trying to find out for myself. 68.44.179.54 (talk) 01:43, 19 November 2011 (UTC)[reply]
The latest word from NBC is that they plan to broadcast 13 episodes. I've just reverted the edit listing Prime Suspect as having been cancelled. Although Deadline is reporting the rumor that production has been shut down, there is no announcement of either production shutdown or cancellation from NBC, or is there anything reported in the Hollywood Reporter or Variety, the most reliable sources for this information. It seems clear PS will be cancelled, but until such time as it actually is, and it can be sourced reliably, it does not belong on the list of cancelled shows. Drmargi (talk) 20:27, 21 November 2011 (UTC)[reply]
Prime Suspect has been officially cancelled by NBC, as said on the episode guide. 68.44.179.54 (talk) 01:31, 22 November 2011 (UTC)[reply]
O.K. what is happening to episodes 9-13?--TonyTheTiger (T/C/BIO/WP:CHICAGO/WP:FOUR) 03:10, 22 November 2011 (UTC)[reply]
NBC plans to air them. 68.44.179.54 (talk) 21:06, 22 November 2011 (UTC)[reply]
Another Wikipedia page is never a reliable source, and the episode article is wrong. One source (Deadline) is reporting a rumor that a. production was shut down after ep. 13 and b. NBC will air the remaining episodes at some indeterminate time in the future, another is re-reporting it, and the third acknowledges the show has not been cancelled, just pulled, with NBC considering its options. That's a far cry from the statement "NBC officially cancelled..." that was supposedly made on November 15. The mainstream television media are all silent on the matter, which should tell a careful editor something important. I've removed PS from the list again; please do not restore until such time as there is a reliable source (such as Hollywood Reporter or NBC itself) that Prime Suspect has actually been cancelled. Drmargi (talk) 19:30, 23 November 2011 (UTC)[reply]
Prime Suspect was cancelled, via TV by the Numbers. 68.44.179.54 (talk) 14:54, 25 November 2011 (UTC)[reply]
Reread your source, and check to see what the term defacto means. It states that NBC has shut down production, which they feel signals an eventual cancellation. They are speculating as to the status of the show, but do not know definitively that it has been cancelled. The same thing happened with Trauma last season. NBC shut down its production around Ep. 15, and everyone said "it's been cancelled!" Later in the season, Trauma's numbers improved, and NBC ordered several more episodes before once again shutting down production at Ep. 19, I believe it was, then canceling it. You cannot report Prime Suspect has been cancelled until a reliable source reports NBC has actually done so, which so far, it has not done. Also, please refrain from adjusting the level of indent on my post above. It's in response to the same post by Tony the Tiger's response, and as such, the level of indent I used is appropriate. Drmargi (talk) 15:08, 25 November 2011 (UTC)[reply]
The defacto cancellation was the day before the actual cancellation, as said on the article, so you should reread it. 68.44.179.54 (talk) 19:24, 25 November 2011 (UTC)[reply]
That's not what defacto means. They're saying that in effect NBC has cancelled Prime Suspect by shutting down production. That's not the same thing as NBC actually having cancelled it, moreover, it's the website's interpretation of what NBC did. You cannot say NBC officially cancelled Prime Suspect until NBC actually does so. Drmargi (talk) 19:45, 25 November 2011 (UTC)[reply]
Quoting from the article, it said, "It's woeful ratings signaled certain cancellation, and being left off NBC's mid-season schedule announced yesterday was a defacto cancellation of the show." That was the day before. Then it was officially cancelled. Also, I found a second source on Is My Show Cancelled?. 68.44.179.54 (talk) 19:55, 26 November 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Show me a statement from NBC that says Prime Suspect is cancelled. Until then, you persist in interpreting secondary sources already interpreting NBC's actions. Do any of your sources cite a press release from NBC? No. You do not have a reliable source that states that NBC officially cancelled the show, only TVBTN's, Deadline's and other minor site's speculation and interpretation, none of which is reliable. Another piece from TVBTN even acknowledges NBC has not yet cancelled the show. And again, please refrain from editing my posts. Drmargi (talk) 21:49, 26 November 2011 (UTC)[reply]

They are airing a new episode tonight.--TonyTheTiger (T/C/BIO/WP:CHICAGO/WP:FOUR) 02:14, 2 December 2011 (UTC)[reply]

New series

[edit]

What do you guys think about separating the New series lists into Fall, Midseason and other? I would like to be able to tell which ones have not yet aired yet, like Scandal (TV series), which ones are airing in January, like The Firm (2012 TV series) and which ones have debuted already. I think it would be more useful to the reader if we showed this type of detail.--TonyTheTiger (T/C/BIO/WP:CHICAGO/WP:FOUR) 02:31, 16 November 2011 (UTC)[reply]

I agree. We should do that for the returning series too. 68.44.179.54 (talk) 01:44, 19 November 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Time for 2012-13 Page?

[edit]

Last year, the page was created on the night of November 18 (EST), and today is November 18. There would be things to put into the article, as several shows (Survivor, HIMYM, Big Bang Theory, Amamation Domination, X Factor) have been renewed for next year. It would be a place to start keeping track of renewals and new shows. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 173.62.204.99 (talk)

Go for it! 74.105.45.149 (talk) 21:31, 18 November 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Just to repeat the comment I have put under the AFD discussion regarding the 2012-13 article, it's too premature to have a schedule-based article. But maybe instead simply create a 2012-13 section in this article on a temporary basis listing what has been confirmed so far, and then transfer that material to a proper 2012-2013 next spring when it's warranted? 68.146.80.110 (talk) 15:42, 29 November 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Revived Series

Should we create a separate section for revived series? 68.44.179.54 (talk) 01:42, 19 November 2011 (UTC)[reply]

What shows would fall under this heading? I'm not sure what you mean by revived (or what shows would then qualify) Darquis (talk) 01:57, 21 November 2011 (UTC)[reply]
Series include Fear Factor, Wife Swap, and In Living Color. 68.44.179.54 (talk) 14:40, 21 November 2011 (UTC)[reply]
Fear Factor would definitely fit, but isn't In Living Color just two TV specials at this point or something to that effect? Essentially if it doesn't have a regular timeslot, I'm not sure documenting it here is appropriate - and if it's only two shows (I'm assuming Wife Swap got a full/half season order) I don't know that it needs a category of it's own - perhaps a special note under renewed series? Darquis (talk) 02:13, 23 November 2011 (UTC)[reply]
Let's add In Living Color if it will air next season, just like I did to Mobbed last year. 68.44.179.54 (talk) 19:26, 25 November 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Network templates

[edit]

The network templates are only as useful as you guys make them. For current templates, shows like Man Up (TV series), How to Be a Gentleman, and Charlie's Angels (2011 TV series) should be properly edited on these templates as soon as they are not longer currently airing. I don't follow what is going on that closely. Also, when and if there is ever consensus that Prime Suspect (U.S. TV series) has been cancelled make the proper changes.--TonyTheTiger (T/C/BIO/WP:CHICAGO/WP:FOUR) 05:29, 9 December 2011 (UTC)[reply]

It looks like someone edited {{ABCNetwork Shows (current and upcoming)}} but forgot to remove it from Charlie's Angels. Don't forget to remove and add template as appropriate.--TonyTheTiger (T/C/BIO/WP:CHICAGO/WP:FOUR) 05:38, 9 December 2011 (UTC)[reply]
Thank you. I'll keep that in mind. 68.44.179.54 (talk) 16:47, 11 December 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Pan Am

[edit]

Okay, there's been this confusion with Pan Am saying it's cancelled, so I found a source that it is: [1]. 68.44.179.54 (talk) 00:42, 17 December 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Flashpoint

[edit]

Since Flashpoint is the only original series on Ion Television, I think we should add it here. 68.44.179.54 (talk) 16:27, 27 December 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Friday Missing and Schedule Mixed

[edit]

Hi, just went onto the wiki page today, and Friday is missing and some of the days have been scrambled. Please revert it back! — Preceding unsigned comment added by SNTMcentral (talkcontribs) 14:41, 8 January 2012 (UTC)[reply]

List of The Firm episodes

[edit]

I kind of figured that there are experienced editors who would fill in List of The Firm episodes if I created it. Will that likely happen in the next few days?--TonyTheTiger (T/C/BIO/WP:CHICAGO/WP:FOUR) 20:38, 10 January 2012 (UTC)[reply]

I don't mean that I am not an experienced editor. I have just never made a TV show episode page before.--TonyTheTiger (T/C/BIO/WP:CHICAGO/WP:FOUR) 20:45, 10 January 2012 (UTC)[reply]

ABC Tuesday

[edit]

For quite some time, Body of Proof and Private Practice have been in the same box. Shouldn't there at least be a line separating them.--TonyTheTiger (T/C/BIO/WP:CHICAGO/WP:FOUR) 07:46, 8 February 2012 (UTC)[reply]

There is a line. 68.44.179.54 (talk) 13:42, 12 February 2012 (UTC)[reply]
I see it in Chrome, Opera, Safari and MSIE, but not in Firefox (my default).--TonyTheTiger (T/C/BIO/WP:CHICAGO/WP:FOUR) 04:15, 16 February 2012 (UTC)[reply]
It's a Firefox problem, then. Wikipedia does not solve those problems, sadly. We wish we could, but we can't. 68.44.179.54 (talk) 01:45, 17 February 2012 (UTC)[reply]

The Firm

[edit]

The Firm was just moved to Saturdays. It wasn't canceled yet, but it probably will be in May. Still, it's not canceled yet, it just moved. 68.44.179.54 (talk) 02:24, 16 February 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Is there a chance that this is renewed in Canada or for AXN and any of the following happen
  1. cancelled in the US on NBC
  2. NBC moves it down to one of their cable subsidiaries: USA, Bravo or A&E
  3. picked up by a non-affiliated cable network in the USA.?--TonyTheTiger (T/C/BIO/WP:CHICAGO/WP:FOUR) 04:06, 16 February 2012 (UTC)[reply]
I don't know. See if you can find out on Canadian TV sites about the renewal. 68.44.179.54 (talk) 01:43, 17 February 2012 (UTC)[reply]
Still, The Firm should not be in the cancellations section. 68.44.179.54 (talk) 13:39, 18 February 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Proper page name for The Firm

[edit]

Please comment at Talk:The_Firm_(Canadian_TV_series)#Requested_move.--TonyTheTiger (T/C/BIO/WP:CHICAGO/WP:FOUR) 15:48, 18 February 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Summer Article

[edit]

Hey, it's been a while since we talked about the Summer article. Why don't we start making it as soon as there's a press release? 69.115.133.93 (talk) 02:27, 20 February 2012 (UTC)[reply]

NBC's Bent

[edit]

Hey, I'm a little confused on why Bent is being shown as an hour long show when it is only a half-hour long. It's page even states that it'll run only 22-23 minutes approximately. In some ways I understand, because NBC is showing two back-to-back episodes, so therefore an hour long, but shouldn't it be shown on the schedule as two back-to-back episodes? — Preceding unsigned comment added by 74.83.89.68 (talk) 04:35, 12 March 2012 (UTC)[reply]

I completely understand what you're saying, but I'm following the format of how The Futon Critic does their guide: [2]. It's not there now, but it was prior to this response. 68.44.179.54 (talk) 20:53, 9 April 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Top show by week

[edit]

I see that the canadian network television schedule includes a table with the top rated show by week. Why doesn't the U.S. table do this?--TonyTheTiger (T/C/BIO/WP:CHICAGO/WP:FOUR) 06:10, 27 March 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Summer Burn-Offs

[edit]

Some shows, like I Hate My Teenage Daughter, will air the remaining episodes in the Summer. Should we put the burn off on the schedule? 68.44.179.54 (talk) 01:13, 11 April 2012 (UTC)[reply]

I think we should just do it because it's not meant to air in the Summer but will air. 76.116.112.84 (talk) 20:24, 13 April 2012 (UTC)[reply]

2012 Summer Article

[edit]

What's the deal with the Summer article? 76.116.112.84 (talk) 20:23, 13 April 2012 (UTC)[reply]

United States cable television schedule

[edit]

How about starting a new article focus on original programming for cable channels like USA, TNT, etc? With many original programs on non-network channels, it almost warrants an article of its own. user:mnw2000 22:54, 1 May 2012 (UTC)[reply]

That would be a long article and if you go to the Specific Cable Channel's Wikipedia Page, there will be a section about Original Programming most likely. RandMC (talk) 01:31, 2 May 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Summer programming

[edit]

Should we include the summer schedules of major networks here in this article? --Steelbar (talk) 18:56, 9 May 2012 (UTC)[reply]

That would be unnecessary. 76.116.112.84 (talk) 19:34, 13 May 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Blanking Apologies

[edit]

For some reason, I'm trying to make edits, but it blanks out half the page. I assume it's a computer problem, but my apologies if I keep doing it. I'm just trying to edit. 76.116.112.84 (talk) 19:34, 13 May 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Summer Season

[edit]

Hey, i'ts not better make a new page only for the summer season??? — Preceding unsigned comment added by 189.78.219.65 (talk) 22:19, 7 June 2012 (UTC)[reply]
