Hi, I will be reviewing this against the GA criteria as part of a GAN sweep. I'll leave some comments soon. JAGUAR  20:19, 30 November 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Checking against the GA criteria[edit]

GA review (see here for what the criteria are, and here for what they are not)
  1. It is reasonably well written.
a (prose, no copyvios, spelling and grammar): b (MoS for lead, layout, word choice, fiction, and lists):
There's a citation needed tag in the background section
"Midway through the season, head coach Curt Onalfo was fired and replaced by assistant coach, Ben Olsen. As interim head coach Olsen led the club to a 3–8–1 record, which advanced them to a season total of 22 points over 30 games." - unsourced
There's another citation needed tag in the November 2010 section
I recommend merging all of the content in the December into one big paragraph
"However, a player's guaranteed money is typically larger than his base salary." - sounds a tad like original research as it's unsourced
"White previously played for the Maryland Terrapins before signing a homegrown player contract with D.C. United on 14 December 2010. He became the fourth academy signee within the last year for United." - this needs a citation
Third paragraph in the January section is unsourced
"Concluding the Chivas USA match, the club traveled back east to Charleston, South Carolina to participate in the Carolina Challenge Cup." - needs sourcing
First paragraph of the Colorado snowstorm section is unsourced
Most of the October section needs sourcing
  2. It is factually accurate and verifiable.
a (reference section): b (citations to reliable sources): c (OR):
  3. It is broad in its coverage.
    a (major aspects): b (focused):
  4. It follows the neutral point of view policy.
    Fair representation without bias:
  5. It is stable.
    No edit wars, etc.:
  6. It is illustrated by images and other media, where possible and appropriate.
a (images are tagged and non-free content have fair use rationales): b (appropriate use with suitable captions):
  7. Overall:
    Pass/Fail:

There are several unsourced claims which will need to be dealt with before this meets the GA criteria. I recognise the fact that this article is well written, so I'll be willing to promote this once all of the unsourced paragraphs I listed above have been clarified. GAs usually require at least every paragraph to have at least one citation in them. Anyway, I'll leave this on hold! JAGUAR  15:34, 1 December 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks, I'll address these items. Quidster4040 (talk) 21:43, 1 December 2016 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks, I've gone over the article again and it appears to meet the GA criteria. JAGUAR  18:36, 2 December 2016 (UTC)[reply]
