Scorers Table

[edit]

There have been 63 goals scored but only 61 goals show up in the scorers table. I'd appreciate any help figuring out who those missing scorers are or if they were own goals. DemonJuice (talk) 17:14, 18 May 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Unfortunately, it's hard enough just to get info on the match results from a lot of teams, let alone the actual goalscorers from the games. I had to make a chart of all the games just to be able to update the tables and know when the games are (with four still having no date or makeup date yet). I think the best way to figure that out would be to check blogs that cover MLS teams, as they usually will have match info for the reserves (which some MLS team pages don't even have). The actual MLS reserve page has some MAJOR discrepancies in the Central Division table, Real Salt Lake is listed at 5 games played and a 3-2-2 record, and there are 6 more goals in the goals for column than in the goals against (these should obviously be the same). Going through my calculations, what I have on the table here is correct, while what is on the MLS site is off right now. While I imagine some own goals have been scored, this also explains some discrepancies between the goalscorers page and the number of goals scored. Mtndrums (talk) 17:28, 17 August 2011 (UTC)[reply]
