2012–13 Süper Lig revisions, May 12th 2013[edit]

If teams are classified by "1) Points; 2) Goal difference; 3) Goals scored", how can the people editing this page say for sure after 33 of 34 rounds that Fenerbahçe will end in 2nd position? If Fenerbahçe lose their final game and Beşiktaş win theirs, both teams will end on 61 points, and Beşiktaş will at least have matched Fenerbahçe's goal difference, and are very likely to have scored more goals. 88.91.190.138 (talk) 22:05, 12 May 2013 (UTC)[reply]

From the TFF page [1]: "Not: Ligler statüsüne göre takımların birbiriyle oynadıkları tüm müsabakalar tamamlandıktan sonra, eş puana sahip takımlar kendi aralarındaki müsabaka sonuçlarına göre sıralanacaktır". It roughly translates as: "Before the completion of the competition, teams with the same number of points are ranked by goal difference. After the completion of the competition, teams with the same number of points are ranked by head-to-head record". See also 2011–12 Süper Lig#League table for reference.
