Given that the Premier has announced she will call the election in conjunction with the next provincial election, and the election is to occur in the next few months, is it time to move this one to Alberta Senate nominee election, 2012? -Rrius (talk) 01:19, 9 February 2012 (UTC)[reply]

I've been thinking about this lately too, I just haven't found the time to look for a reference. 117Avenue (talk) 04:26, 9 February 2012 (UTC)[reply]
There's already one in the article, so since that's the only objection, I've moved it. -Rrius (talk) 02:20, 10 February 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Candidate Information

[edit]

Why is there information about some of the candidates but not all of them? Would it not be more factual and fair if they either each had a bio line or paragraph? If that is objectionable, then just the names and their party/independent status should be listed.CrocodileSheila (talk) 19:16, 15 April 2012 (UTC)[reply]

If you have citable information, that follows WP:NPOV, to add for any of the candidates, please do so. The absence of details on some of the candidates is not a deliberate omission — it’s just that no one has added that information yet. —GrantNeufeld (talk) 20:20, 15 April 2012 (UTC)[reply]

I would suggest removing this section entirely. It's not written in NPOV, and I don't think many of the candidates meet the notoriety test worthy of inclusion in any encyclopaedic article. I think skipping right ahead to the results section, as per the other Alberta Senate Election pages, would be more prudent, where there are links to full articles on the notable individuals. 99.228.54.191 (talk) 09:38, 20 May 2016 (UTC)[reply]

1st, 2nd, 3rd riding finishes

[edit]

Are we expecting to get the X/87 numbers from Elections Alberta? Because after incorporating the results from the first seven ridings, I have to say it is a pain in the neck to do by hand. If we don't expect them, is it really worth having those columns? -Rrius (talk) 23:29, 26 April 2012‎ (UTC)[reply]
