Shouldn't we include why the finalists were selected instead of just for the winner? Because after all the finalists are announced at the same time as the winner. Angry bee (talk) 16:02, 17 April 2012 (UTC)[reply]

I tried doing that, but it looked very cluttered and took emphasis away from the winners. Fryede (talk) 17:21, 17 April 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Reaction to fiction prize decision[edit]

This section has a few problems. First, the title doesn't really describe the section, as it's about more than the reactions. It should probably be something like "The decision not to award the Fiction prize." The third paragraph about Michael Cunningham's account could include some of the details of his account. And the fifth paragraph, where the NYT had editors choose their picks for the award, is clumsily written and probably unnecessary. I would suggest cutting that paragraph altogether.
