Colors in the standings tables

[edit]

I personally am not a fan of having more than two colors in the standings tables, and so I made the edit in accordance with that. I'm not sure that it's necessary to use a separate color denoting which players went to the qualifiers, since it's already apparent in the playoffs section. I'm not sure what you meant by "do not edit unless you know what you are doing." Your thoughts would be appreciated. Thanks. Prayerfortheworld (talk) 22:49, 22 September 2012 (UTC)[reply]

The colours and format are absolutely no different than what was used in the 2011 Radisson Blu Oslo Cup, which looking at the history was edited by you. There are 3 different distinctions, Tiebreaker, Qualifier and Playoff, hence three colours. It was not automatic into the playoffs which is why there is a qualifier. Just because you suddenly are not a fan of three colours, does not mean it should be changed. My comment stands exactly as is, if you don't know what is going on, don't edit the page. Not everything needs to meet your requirements. Sirrussellott (talk) 23:13, 22 September 2012 (UTC)[reply]
I understand that they were the same as those used in the page on last year's event, but if you look at the page history more carefully, it was not I who implemented the colors there. I wasn't keen on those colors, but, having a lack of a better solution, I left it as is. I would advocate a solution which would minimize the amount of colors used in a table, so if you have any suggestions, I would appreciate them. I'm still not sure what you mean by your statement, and I'm sorry that you see my edits as trying to make things "meet my requirements." If there's any way I can change that, please let me know.
