Number of Berths[edit]

Any proof or source for the 5 CONCACAF berths? UEFA didn't get an extra berth when Switzerland won the 2009 U-17 World Cup. Also apparently the berths for the 2015 edition are already decided, despite the fact that we don't know the winner of the 2013 edition yet. --LusankyaG (talk) 12:55, 10 March 2012 (UTC)[reply]

With the news today (Tuesday) that Panama is to host the CONCACAF U-17s Tournament, an article over at concacaf.com states there are 4 places for that 'region'. I swear I've seen articles on FIFA.com about, with Mexico winning the 2011 U-17 World Cup, CONCACAF have an extra spot. I've requested clarification from CONCACAF anyway. Here's CONCACAF's response:-

"Thank you for you interest in CONCACAF.com.

The defending champion does not receive an automatic berth in the U-17 World Cup, only the host nation. Although I cannot lead you to the regulations for the 2013 U-17 World Cup, you can refer to the 2011 regulations with lists the berth allocations on page 27, Provision 19.

So, unless FIFA say anything different, I'm prepared to stick with 4 clubs for the CONCACAF 'region' IanCleverly (talk) 14:04, 12 April 2012 (UTC)[reply]

FWIW, FIFA's response is short, but to the point:-

"Hello and thanks for the message. We can confirm that the number of slots for the FIFA U-17 World Cup remains unchanged. CONCACAF will have 4 slots.

3rd place finishers[edit]

For the third place finishers in the group how they will be placed in the playoffs are specified on page 39 in the rules. It looks like the the table below.

The final combination is shown as green in the table.

Livescores[edit]

Hi

Per WP:LIVESCORES we should not add scores to matches still in play. Please wait until match is finished and then add the score. If you dont discuss here your edits will be considered disrutive and you might get warned and blocked. This has also been discussed on WT:FOOTY many times.
