Eck supporters Jay2345 and MariannCH are engaging in WP:SELFPROMOTION when they delete the association between Eck and the John Birch Society, which is central to her political background. In the cited US News & World Report article, a valid source, the author refers to her October 8, 2011 speech to the JBS national conference. She has also spoken at the South Jersey John Birch Society, the North Jersey John Birch Society, and the NYC John Birch Society. The Birch Society interviewed Eck and she provided an exclusive article to the JBS magazine The New American. In April 2013, the John Birch Society recommended distributing DVD's of its exclusive interview with Eck in its Action Summary. Justthephax (talk) 19:06, 24 June 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Alieta Eck is definitely NOT a John Birch Society speaker, which implies that she speaks on behalf of the John Birch Society, which I see no evidence. The John Birch Society does promote her health care reform views. However, other organizations also promote her health care reform views. She is NOT their speaker either. Any political involvement appears to be solely as a health care reform advocate, as evidenced by the many papers and presentations that she has made on health care reform. In your cited US News & World Report article, I would not consider the author to be a reliable, neutral source, since he appears to over promote Lonegan and denigrate, diminish, and try to find Alieta Eck guilty by association when he mentions her "experience in politics seems not to go much beyond this speech to the extremist John Birch Society". That derogatory characterization of Eck is simply not complete or representative of her efforts since she has focused her health care reform efforts in a variety of different political forums outside of the John Birch Society.

I propose to updated the info for Alieta Eck as noted below.

"Alieta Eck, former president of the Association of American Physicians and Surgeons, founder of the Zarephath Health Center, and longtime health care reform advocate"

It would include citation links, which are currently shown with this statement in the current article. It would also include the 2 links below regarding a portrayal as a health care reform advocate. It includes one of your references to a health care reform presentation that was sponsored by John Birch Society. I would delete the US News and World Report Article since it does not appear to be a neutral source.
