Broadcasting rights

[edit]

The domestic broadcasting rights for the competition are held by the free-to-air channel BBC and the new subscription channel BT Sport.BBC has held the rights since 2014–15, while BT Sport bought ESPN's remaining FA Cup rights in February 2013.[1] The FA Cup Final must be broadcast live on UK terrestrial television under the Ofcom code of protected sporting events.[2]

These matches were broadcast live on UK television:[citation needed]

Round BT Sport BBC
First Round Proper FC Halifax Town v Bradford City
[[#Havant & Waterlooville v Preston North End
Havant & Waterlooville v Preston North End]] Warrington Town v Exeter City

Div id tags

[edit]

It would be good if someone could add the div id tags before each match in the First Round. These are useful when linking to the match from other parts of the article. I have added them for the matches already linked to, but it might be of use if its added to all matches? (I've not got the time to do it now, but I'll do it if no one else has before I get a chance..)
Should be in the form: <div id="Home Team v Away Team"/> and added just before the start of the match information. - 97rob (talk) 23:11, 31 October 2014 (UTC)[reply]

SCHEDULE

[edit]

A new section to be identified as "9 Sixth Round Proper" should be inserted after existing "8 Fifth Round Proper" and the current "9 Semi-Finals." The current "9 Semi-Finals" should be renumbered as "10 Semi-Finals" and each subsequent section renumbered. The Sixth Round Proper will be held on March 7, 2015 (source: [3]). As the article currently reads, a reader might mistakenly believe that somehow the eight winners of the Fifth Round Proper will somehow magically fill just four spots in the Semi-Finals. I understand your concern, but as previously done the new sections will be added when there is some information, for example when the draw for sixth round is?. Just the dates is not enough since dates may change and is not "set in stone". QED237 (talk) 16:31, 4 February 2015 (UTC)[reply]

"Quater-Finals"

[edit]

It's called Quater-Finals under the "Broadcasting rights" section, it should say "Sixth Round Proper". — Preceding unsigned comment added by 95.154.19.89 (talk) 06:41, 17 March 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Done I have made the correction. Thank you. QED237 (talk) 20:56, 17 March 2015 (UTC)[reply]
