By now it is confirmed that the broadcaster had died. Because the Mets will likely use a memorial patch, I posted the text. It will remain hidden until the Mets or the league confirms the patch. It there is no patch it can be reverted. NintendoFan (Talk, Contribs) 07:46, 9 February 2014 (UTC)[reply]

AL & NL statistics

[edit]

I'm not a regular editor on MLB pages so I'm not sure if this is how it's usually done. But should we be being putting up stats like home run leaders in the AL & NL only three days into the regular season? Personally, I would wait until May to start listing these stats but that's just me.--Daytona 500 18:38, 2 April 2014 (UTC)[reply]

I agree... I removed it yesterday and it was added back in... It actually isn't too bad, but having a list of 20 players with one win or an ERA of 0.00 just makes the list way too long... I removed all of the names and did "XX tied with" to make the list shorter... But I think we should wait until May as well... posty (talk) 13:24, 3 April 2014 (UTC)[reply]
I am going to keep removing it until at least May when the leaders start not having so many players... posty (talk) 13:08, 9 April 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Wild Card Stats?

[edit]

Should we include the wild card charts, or is it too early in the season? MaximusAlphus (talk) 22:54, 4 May 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Way to early and also, they have never been included in the past season either... posty (talk) 13:08, 28 May 2014 (UTC)[reply]

[edit]

I am glad that someone is taking the time to update the league leaders, but I frequently have to fix their links because they link them to disambiguated pages... For example, within the past month I have had to fix links for Daniel Murphy, David Price, Francisco Rodriguez, Jose Abreu, Greg Holland and Anthony Rizzo... I have posted multiple times on their talk page to please take the time to make sure that the links go to the player page, but it is not done...

Can anything be done? Like I said, I am glad that someone else is taking the time to do this, I just with they would take just a little more time to get the links correct for the player... posty (talk) 06:58, 2 August 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Celsius/Fahrenheit

[edit]

Keeping consistent with previous seasons, I keep changing it back to just showing Fahrenheit instead of including Celsius... Yes it is an international sports, but 29 of the 30 teams are stationed in the United States, which doesn't go with Celsius...

I am changing it back to only show Fahrenheit as it should stay this way until a discussion (and consensus) is reached... posty (talk) 18:03, 28 October 2014 (UTC)[reply]

I believe it is reasonable, in light of Wikipedia's global readership, to display the temperature using both temperature scales. This approach aligns with Wikipedia's guidance on unit conversions. isaacl (talk) 23:18, 28 October 2014 (UTC)[reply]
