Is Ronnie the lowest ranked player to win the Masters?[edit]

Since there can't have been many (any?) times the World Champion was outside the top 16, and fewer that they won it, is Ronnie the lowest ranked player to win the masters? — Preceding unsigned comment added by 31.221.13.140 (talk) 15:43, 20 January 2014 (UTC)[reply]

It looks like, but as this is original research, it can't be included without a reliable source. BTW Shaun Murphy was outside the top 16 in 2006, but he didn't won the Masters. Also the first three Masters winners were unranked (two because at that time, there were no rankings at all.) Armbrust The Homunculus 16:14, 20 January 2014 (UTC)[reply]
