Renaming pages[edit]

What do people think about renaming these pages from <YEAR> California wildfires to <YEAR> California wildfire season. This seems to be a more accurate title. I've noticed that in article I am often writing things like "The Happy Camp Complex fire was the largest fire of the 2014 California wildfire season...". Thoughts? --Zackmann08 (Talk to me/What I been doing) 17:44, 1 September 2015 (UTC)[reply]

@LightandDark2000, Ellin Beltz, and Michaelh2001: any thoughts? --Zackmann08 (Talk to me/What I been doing) 00:22, 8 September 2015 (UTC)[reply]
As a CAL FIRE expert stated last year, California doesn't really have a defined "wildfire season", as Californian wildfires can occur during anytime of the year (although the activity seems to peak around late Spring to Fall). Many of the articles also document major wildfires that have occurred outside of the normal "wildfire season" (e.g. Round Fire (2015)). That being said, it's best to keep the wildfire articles the way they are, so that the readers don't develop a misconception that those wildfires occur only during the summer or fall. @LightandDark2000: VERY good point! Thanks! What I think I will do is create redirects for the <YEAR> California wildfire season pages. --Zackmann08 (Talk to me/What I been doing) 01:28, 8 September 2015 (UTC)[reply]
@Zackmann08: I'm rather neutral on this. California wildfire season has a nice flow to it, but 2015, etc., already implies which season we are talking about and might seem slightly redundant. Either is fine with me! Juneau Mike (talk) 13:19, 8 September 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Tesla Fire[edit]

Why isn't the Tesla Fire on this list? AmericanLeMans (talk) 20:28, 14 September 2015 (UTC)[reply]

@AmericanLeMans: just hadn't been added yet... This is a group effort... --Zackmann08 (Talk to me/What I been doing) 23:27, 14 September 2015 (UTC)[reply]
