PLA[edit]

Second para: " ... Chinese senior military officers said that the PLA was planning to reduce the number of military regions ... " If "PLA" means "People's Liberation Army", perhaps the sentence should be changed to " ... Chinese senior military officers said that the People's Liberation Army (PLA) was planning to reduce the number of military regions ... This article is horribly written/translated, with numerous copy edit and reference issues, from anonymous "sources" to unclear quotations and dates.

I did what little I could to make it somewhat coherent.
