Live updating
[edit]@KoolKidMitch: As I wrote on your talk page, WP:Wikipedia is not news and WP:There is no deadline. It's really not our purpose to update all night long as unofficial polling data come in; the external link to live results at the bottom is enough to help out our readers.
But even if you disagree, it's against our "original research" policy to add your own evaluation of who is "most likely" to win without citing a reliable source. Wikipedia is an encyclopedia, not a news outlet, and we should hold ourselves to a higher standard of patience and accuracy. FourViolas (talk) 00:49, 10 August 2016 (UTC)
Issue with write-ins in primary
[edit]Thanks to the unnecessary live updating, we have unsourced write-in votes which will need to be fixed. I am leaving this here on the talk page as a reminder. The Vermont Secretary of State's office should have these totals available soon. ALPolitico (talk) 15:54, 11 August 2016 (UTC)
