Black hole entry (August)
[edit]I added two caveats: As far as I understand the article, it studies a modification of GR (with no experimental evidence for it), and only charged black holes without spin (which won't happen in our universe). I suggest to remove the entry - it is way too obscure if those caveats are taken into account. --mfb (talk) 21:44, 6 August 2016 (UTC)
- Removed. --mfb (talk) 21:34, 8 August 2016 (UTC)
More editors needed
[edit]I'm pretty much the only one who's keeping this page updated, and it's hard work to be honest. I see today there's an Earth-sized planet near us that's been found. I came to this page, hoping somebody would have made the entry, but there's nothing here (as usual), so I guess I'll have to enter it myself. Can more people try to contribute here... please :( Wjfox2005 (talk) 18:35, 24 August 2016 (UTC)
- Edit: I see it's been added now. Thanks Drbogdan! Wjfox2005 (talk) 20:58, 24 August 2016 (UTC)
Imprecise Date
[edit]The Date Unknown sentence: "The advanced Virgo detector starts looking for gravitational waves in autumn 2016" is a bit vague, autumn WHERE???? in Australia? in the U.S.? — Preceding unsigned comment added by 190.193.49.207 (talk) 02:18, 6 October 2016 (UTC)
- In Italy, where VIRGO is. Autumn in the southern hemisphere would be in the past. --mfb (talk) 21:26, 6 October 2016 (UTC)
You are right my friend, I apologize for my mistake. :) — Preceding unsigned comment added by 168.96.15.8 (talk) 14:52, 13 October 2016 (UTC)
Proposal: Reinstate the "Years in science" WikiProject
[edit]The Years in science WikiProject has been marked defunct for 6 years. I think there is benefit in having the project available as a place to discuss future evolution of the "YYYY in science" pages.
If you have thoughts, please join the discussion in the WikiProject Years in science talk page.
