I would like further info on the voting system. The public were told to vote for their favourite candidate and also their second favourite. Should the candidate with the most votes have less than 50%, the idea was to use the second vote to determine who was the most popular overall. However, I have seen a statement on Facebook which says that if the second vote does not refer to one of the top two candidates, then that vote will not be counted. This would clearly discriminate against minority parties. Anyone have any knowledge of this?
