Play off dates[edit]

The dates people are entering are just the international window dates. Some unreliable sources are quoting these dates as THE dates. FIFA requires clubs to release players 4 days before games. None of these games will take place on 6 November as players will have to miss club games...likely dates for first leg are more like Thursday 9th. But like I said, until negotiated between participants, arrangements made and officially announced dates should not be entered.. ClubOranjeT 06:27, 11 October 2017 (UTC)[reply]

This is referring to the edits made by SuperJew. It's probably best if he look at this one. jd22292 (Jalen D. Folf) (talk) 06:23, 11 October 2017 (UTC)[reply]
As I linked in the edit summary, this source mentions those dates specifically (6 & 14 Nov). I don't see how the Australian FFA is an unreliable source. Also players miss club games for internationals in Australia all the time, what's new about that? --SuperJew (talk) 06:43, 11 October 2017 (UTC)[reply]
That source, written on 13 September - weeks before the participants are known - speculates the dates as agreement MUST be made between the participating nations, and then ratified by FIFA. The participating nations weren't even known at the time, how can it be reliable?. They also put a big disclaimer saying dates subject to change. ClubOranjeT 06:51, 11 October 2017 (UTC)[reply]
Okay, so it's subject to change. If it changes they'll announce it and we'll change it, but that's the sources we have now. Unless you have a better source saying something else? --SuperJew (talk) 06:54, 11 October 2017 (UTC)[reply]
The reliable source says they are scheduled between 6-14 November. To put anything other is wrong. As I said at the main article talk, people are believing this. I know New Zealand are trying for a Friday home leg as Phoenix are home that weekend and they want the crowds at both games. Might end up Thursday, but it definitely will not be Monday or Tuesday. ClubOranjeT 07:06, 11 October 2017 (UTC)[reply]
here is a better source for the dates. Agree that's it not final, but I think we can put the provisional dates with a note. --SuperJew (talk) 12:45, 11 October 2017 (UTC)[reply]

There is no race[edit]

Please be careful to post only confirmed information and not media speculation. Nothing is confirmed until FIFA announce something, despite what FFA or FENAFUTH might say. Hack (talk) 07:28, 15 October 2017 (UTC)[reply]
