Elections postponed again (not on 28 april)[edit]

I have no idea why IPU says (no other source) they use multimember electoral districts equal to the provinces.

Thanks for these sources! I was in the midst of looking for more info on the application of the "Dialogue national d’Angondjé". So the total of seats did increase from 120 to 143, filled in two round with majority system in uninominal constituencies. Concerning your question, from experience the IPU is never accurate on recent changes, as its pages are updated a few months following each elections. Until then, the website show the last electoral law in use in the country. That's why it mention plurinominal constituencies. As for your last source, it's about the 2001 election, which was in two round. According to the 2006 election page on IPU, the electoral system was switched to one round sometime in between 2001 and 2006, and now in 2018 it switch back to two rounds. I've updated the table on en.wiki. I found one source (Xinhua) that said PDG won 73 seats in the first round (as opposed to the 74 we have here). Any idea whether that was just a mistake? Number 5 7 22:11, 30 October 2018 (UTC)[reply]
