"Massacre"
[edit]None of our references call it that, and Google suggests others don't, either. Many call it a shooting and Marshall County High School shooting already redirects here. Shall we go with that? InedibleHulk (talk) 03:16, 24 January 2018 (UTC)
- Yeah, I think so. It's not called a massacre by any sources I've seen, and we have articles named "shooting" for events that are commonly called massacres, like the Sandy Hook Elementary School shooting and the 2017 Las Vegas shooting. Dreadwyrm (talk) 03:26, 24 January 2018 (UTC)
- Agree I see this as an un-controversial move. As I could not do this move myself I have requested an Admin do so at, Wikipedia:Requested moves/Technical requests, see here. Regards, 220 of Borg 06:28, 24 January 2018 (UTC)
I agree as well. Tybomb124 (talk) 00:06, 25 January 2018 (UTC)
Number of Injuries.
[edit]It says there's 18 injured, but however, it only lists 17. 14 were injured by bullets and 3 were critically injured. Tybomb124 (talk) 00:08, 25 January 2018 (UTC)
- The three are presumably of the fourteen, not additional. Per our infobox source, sixteen (including two dead) were hurt by bullets, four while fleeing (tripping, crashing, whatever). Twenty minus two is eighteen survivors. InedibleHulk (talk) 00:23, 25 January 2018 (UTC)
- Another user was also confused by this seemingly clear wording. Reminds me a bit of the 2012 Aurora shooting, where different people continually "corrected" a sentence about the easy access Holmes had
totwo semiautomatic rifles. Strange to see such a basic spelling mistake, but it happened for years. Probably won't continue the same here, for lack of traffic, but if anyone can think of the clearest way to say this, it might prevent some future confusion. I'll suggest replacing the "and" after "bullets" with a comma, since "and" might invoke "plus". Fourteen and three does "make" seventeen, after all, and Holmes did have two guns. - There's nothing clear about this article's reports of how many were injured. In the introductory paragraph, it says that 1 was killed, 1 was injured and later died, and "18 others were injured." In a later section, it names those killed as Bailey Nicole Holt and Preston Ryan Cope, and then adds, "Nineteen other students were injured..." How is that clear? In one area you have 1 + 1 + 18 (20 victims), and in another area you have 1 + 1 + 19 (21 victims). — Preceding unsigned comment added by 2601:644:8400:672C:A0EA:C002:DAE1:582 (talk) 19:30, 23 February 2018 (UTC)

It lists the perpetrator's name, but there is no picture of him. Could a picture be uploaded and placed in the post that gives is general description? ARO1209 (talk) 01:05, 18 April 2023 (UTC)
