More like Southern Cone blackout? Is there anyway to make the name more regionally clear? --MaoGo (talk) 13:21, 17 June 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Chile was unaffected. Martinevans123 (talk) 14:02, 17 June 2019 (UTC)[reply]
@Martinevans123: don't you think that South American blackout sounds huge? --MaoGo (talk) 14:31, 17 June 2019 (UTC)[reply]
Another name can be considered (I do not know common names for both countries, something like Rioplatensian blackouts?), maybe simply "2019 Argentina-Uruguay blackout".--MaoGo (talk) 14:35, 17 June 2019 (UTC)[reply]
I have to agree it could be read in that way. So your suggestion might be less misleading. I guess, strictly speaking, it should be "2019 blackout in Argentina, Uruguay and Paraguay." Martinevans123 (talk) 14:39, 17 June 2019 (UTC)[reply]
That works for me. --MaoGo (talk) 14:46, 17 June 2019 (UTC)[reply]
Even if Paraguay was covered, it does not mean it needs full coverage in the title. Better check well what are they using in the sources. As said in my comment on ITN, the 2019 Venezuelan blackouts affected Brazil but that is not part of the title.--MaoGo (talk) 14:49, 17 June 2019 (UTC)[reply]
Agreed. While we're at it, it might be worth noting that blackout is a DAB page. The sense required, and pipe linked in the article, is power outage. Martinevans123 (talk) 15:04, 17 June 2019 (UTC)[reply]
Blackout sounds fine for me, power outage is one more word to an already long title.--MaoGo (talk) 16:04, 17 June 2019 (UTC)[reply]
This also exists 2009 Brazil and Paraguay blackout, so 2019 Argentina and Uruguay blackout seems ok. --MaoGo (talk) 16:11, 17 June 2019 (UTC)[reply]
I am not really against adding Paraguay in the title, but @Continentaleurope: could you give a rationale on the name change?--MaoGo (talk) 18:23, 19 June 2019 (UTC)[reply]
@MaoGo: It reflects the information in the info-box and the article. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Continentaleurope (talkcontribs) 18:31, 19 June 2019 (UTC)[reply]
(1) Having a series of three nouns in a list as a noun modifier is somewhat clunky. "2019 blackout in A, P, and U" seems better. (2) The article uses a serial comma, so the title should use a serial comma, also, to employ a consistent style in the article. Holy (talk) 23:46, 19 June 2019 (UTC)[reply]
@HolyT: my concern relates to the adding of Paraguay, if you want to move the article to "2019 blackout in Argentina, Paraguay, and Uruguay, it is ok for me.--MaoGo (talk) 09:05, 20 June 2019 (UTC)[reply]
