Image in Chinese article

[edit]

The article in Chinese is much more developed now and contains an image -- can anyone with Chinese verify that it shows the explosion and is appropriately licensed? Espresso Addict (talk) 19:39, 23 March 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Lots of medias, including the state ones, have referred this scene along with this incident, so we can consider it verified.
The zh-wiki uploader filled the source as The Paper. However, that's not the original source. The image is actually a screenshot of a WeChat video that no one yet knows who recorded it. It's one of the few videos that spread widely on the day of explosion. You can check part of the video here (00:00 - 00:07. We Video is not the original source nor related to WeChat).
I suggest taking another screenshot to avoid exact copies from copyrighted press articles/images. -DianLiX (talk) 23:34, 23 March 2019 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks, DianLiX. I don't think that would meet our copyright requirements, sadly -- the copyright will presumably reside with the unknown person who captured the video. Espresso Addict (talk) 00:30, 24 March 2019 (UTC)[reply]
