The result of the move request was: Moved to 2020 Sint Eustatius island council election. By consensus. (closed by non-admin page mover) – robertsky (talk) 01:29, 19 September 2022 (UTC)[reply]

2020 Sint Eustatius general election → ? – The current title does not accurately describe the status of the election. As a special municipality and thus integral part of the Netherlands, the national parliament of Sint Eustatius is the Dutch House of Representatives. General elections are held in the Netherlands (including Sint Eustatius) to elect the members of the House of Representatives, most recently in 2021. This particular election, however, is an election to the island council of Sint Eustatius – a local assembly comparable to a municipal council. It was set to be held as part of the 2019 Dutch island council elections, but was postponed due to political circumstances, which is why it has a separate article on Wikipedia.

The use of the designation "general election" here is problematic, because it wrongfully implies that this is an election to the national parliament of an autonomous country (like the Dutch general elections), while it is actually a local election. I therefore propose to move this page to one of the following targets:

My personal preference would be option B, as it is the most clear and accurate. What are others' opinions on this? — Ætoms [talk] 15:33, 4 September 2022 (UTC) — Relisting. Extraordinary Writ (talk) 00:10, 12 September 2022 (UTC)[reply]

  • Option A This is in line with WP:NC-GAL; option B is not. Number 57 16:35, 4 September 2022 (UTC)[reply]
Could you explain why option B is not in line with WP:NC-GAL? — Ætoms [talk] 17:35, 4 September 2022 (UTC)[reply]
The third bullet of the elections and referendums naming guidance is "For elections to particular bodies or offices, default to the form "[date] [country name or adjectival form] [body/office] election". For example... 2008 Nepalese Constituent Assembly election. Option B doesn't meet this because it should be [Year] [Sint Eustatius] [body name] election Cheers, Number 57 19:05, 4 September 2022 (UTC)[reply]
