2020s

[edit]

There is an article (2020s) that includes major events of the current decade. There are no entries yet for avalanches yet and before I add the 2020 Van avalanche I'd like to get some feedback regarding criteria for the inclusion or exclusion of avalanches. Any suggestions? An avalanches section wouldn't be warranted, but they would go under (natural) disasters. The inclusion criteria for year & decade articles are unclear. There's no set minimum number killed/injured or cost/extent of damage in regard to mass-casualty incidents to determine which are notable enough to include on such articles. The best place to ask about which events to include would be on the talk pages of 2020 & 2020s. Jim Michael (talk) 20:09, 6 February 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Cause of avalanche

[edit]

There is a controversy about the cause of avalanche. According to journalist Bülent Aydemir, avalanche was caused by heavy machinery trying to clear the roads on President Erdogan's advisor Gülşen Orhan's order, even though she was warned it could cause an avalanche. Gülşen Orhan denied allegations and stated that there were no heavy machinery in her convoy. I am new to wikipedia so i am not sure if it is okay to add this to article.
