Results[edit]

@Number 57: We now have the detailled preliminary results. You're not going to like it, though, as they're inconsistent, with the total of valid, blank and invalid votes not being equal to the announced number of voters... And worst of it, there's no national results by parties, only detailled result in each of the 205 constituencies. That's, well, too much for me to handle. I think you got better tools than I have, so hopefully you will have better luck. Here you go [1] and [2]. Cordially.--Aréat (talk) 09:37, 15 March 2021 (UTC)[reply]

@Aréat: From a quick skim, it looks like the blank votes are included in the valid figure (for the first constituency, the party total is 15,857, the blanks 62 and the valid vote 15,919). Does Ivory Coast use blank votes as a 'none of the above' type of vote? I'll go through the spreadsheet in more detail later and let you know if/when I come up with the compiled results. Good catch! I hadn't noticed. I quickly browsed through the electoral law [3] and I didn't find any mention of blank votes. Candidates must get the absolute majority of valid votes. And searching through images on the net, the ballot have no "None of the above" box.--Aréat (talk) 10:13, 15 March 2021 (UTC)[reply]
@Aréat: Also, it's not quite complete – there is one constituency without a result (ARIKOKAHA, NIAKARAMANDOUGOU ET TORTIYA, COMMUNES ET SOUS-PREFECTURES). I'll list this as a vacant seat when I put together the results table (nearly there on that front). Number 57 14:08, 15 March 2021 (UTC)[reply]
Yes, one constituency didn't hold the vote because one of the candidate died, postponing it for a month in Niakara-Arikokaha-Tortiya. That fit. --Aréat (talk) 14:13, 15 March 2021 (UTC)[reply]
@Aréat: I've added the results table. There were a couple of assumptions made – that 'Une Colombe URD and URD are the same party (a dove is the symbol of the party), and LECP and LCEP are the same party (one of them being a typo). There were a couple of parties I couldn't find out what they stood for (ICON and MNJC). Otherwise it all seems to add up. I'll look at the +/– seats later. Thank you so much! It's such a big help. I wouldn't have been able to do it. As for the parties, ICON is "Intégrité et conscience nationale", and MNJC is "Mouvement national des jeunes centristes".--Aréat (talk) 16:04, 15 March 2021 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks, and no problem. I thought it would be a simple pivot table, but was complicated by the multiseat constituencies, where they list the same vote total of the parties next to each candidates' name. However, it wasn't too much work in the end. Number 57 16:38, 15 March 2021 (UTC)[reply]
