Heald Green Ratepayers, and electoral registration[edit]

I would like to make aware in advance that this issue affects not just this article, but also all Stockport Council Election articles going back to at least 2003 (earlier articles not having full data sets).

Said articles mark down the Heald Green Ratepayers as if they were a registered party. It should be noted that on the Heald Green Ratepayers website, they explicitly state that they are not a political party.[HealdGreen 1] Additionally, on the ballot, members of the association are marked as independents.[HealdGreen 2]

Would it therefore not make sense to replace the Ratepayers candidates not just for this article, but all previous articles to gray 'Independents' to align more accurately with real life? Similarly to how the unregistered Northern Independence Party was handled in the article for the 2021 Hartlepool by-election, we could switch the ratepayers to Independents, with a footnote explaining their alignment with the Heald Green and Long Lane ratepayer's association.
