2022 Selangor
[edit]Fyi, This tournament known as Selangor Badminton Asia Team Championships 2022. So, in infobox we should use "2022 Selangor", even though the specific city was mentioned as Shah Alam. As we can see in ref 1 by "Bernama" title: "Badminton Asia Team Championship to be held in Selangor next month," also in the logo mentioned "Selangor 2022" see: selangorbatc2022.com.
It is like the 2019 Southeast Asian Games, the games was held in Metro Manila. But, we used "2019 Philippines" for infobox. cc: User:Wiki00024, User:Mister Platipus, User:HejTuWou, User:Fahrurozi.86, User:Jr2006Venz. Stvbastian (talk) 03:45, 21 February 2022 (UTC)
- With all due respect the comparison of Philippines 2019 is not sound. This is only a singular team championship held in one city compared to a multi-sport event with a considerable number of sports held in places beyond Metro Manila though all in the island of Luzon. The Selangor state government appears to be the title sponsor but it would be better to get confirmation from Badminton Asia themselves. HejTuWou (talk) 12:44, 21 February 2022 (UTC)
- Thank you HejTuWou for your response. I have searched in google, unfortunately, i couldn't find any article that said The Selangor state government as sponsor. But, in Badminton Asia poster about the "Selangor Badminton Asia Team Championships 2022" there were some sponsors: Invest Selangor, MBI, Setia, Li-ning, 100plus, Cyberlinx. If Philippines 2019 can't be compared, we can compared to 2020 Badminton Asia Team Championships logo. Manila as host was mentioned in that logo, but the sponsor of that tournament was Smart. Or the 2017 and 2018 Badminton Asia Junior Championships, the tournament was held at the Jaya Raya Sports Hall Training Center in the city of "South Tangerang" but we put 2017 Jakarta and 2018 Jakarta in infobox. But, yes, it would be better to get confirmation from Badminton Asia. Stvbastian (talk) 13:20, 21 February 2022 (UTC)
