Updating tables

[edit]

Is there anywhere available to learn how to update or generate table records such as at https://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Template:2023_FIFA_Women%27s_World_Cup_qualification_%E2%80%93_UEFA_group_tables

I've had a few aborted attempts at updating (including on this particle) because I found it utterly incomprehensible and it'd be nice to keep a better record of some of the more niche competitions with articles on Wikipedia. Calico1903 (talk) 20:05, 11 October 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Personally, I thought it was easier to edit when the tables were kept in each individual group article and transcribed from there. It made it easier to edit one group at a time and reduced edit conflicts. Take a look at Module:Sports table/WDL and the documentation should explain how the tables are put together.
