For the record the thing you wanted to do isn't a merge, it's an interlanguage link to the French article. I have done that for you and removed the merge request. But yeah, it's handled through wikidata, not the normal merge procedure PARAKANYAA (talk) 02:12, 23 October 2023 (UTC)[reply]
