Constitutional?[edit]

I had modified the title based on previous such slovakian pages and few sources, but I'm having some doubt. Would you say this is a constitutional referendum? If approved, it wouldn't directly change it, but merely ask the parliament to do so. Yet, the change of the constitution still is the matter at hand in the vote. @Aréat It is a constitutional referendum and constitutional lawyers agree that if this referendum were to succeed, it would automatically change the constitution. It is explained here (in Slovak): [1] Braganza (talk) 15:05, 6 January 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks for the solid source, dispelling any doubt. --Aréat (talk) 18:23, 6 January 2023 (UTC)[reply]

I have this question, as well. I don't know if it's trouble in translating Slovak, but even after reading this article, I'm not entirely sure what this referendum would do. Literally, it's just asking voters to answer a general question. It'd be nice to have a "Background" section to layout the arguments for what the referendum would do should it pass and meet the threshold. --Criticalthinker (talk) 19:19, 13 January 2023 (UTC)[reply]
