Image in dark mode[edit]

The main image is quite unreadable in dark mode. It would be nice if any other image is used that has readable sector/turn numbers. Thanks Mohammad.darg (talk) 05:40, 28 June 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Have you switched on dark mode within your browser, or within Wikipedia? When you do it within Wikipedia the background of image stays white. In any case, it is not practical to make all our images compliant with every possible setup people may have. If you operate under dark mode you sometimes just have to accept that websites are designed around light mode - Wikipedia is no different. Now, if you are able to produce an equally good image that meets your requirements, go for it. But that onus is really on you. SSSB (talk) 06:29, 28 June 2024 (UTC)[reply]
If we're adding appearance tools for logged out users, which will half the time be automatically put on dark mode, then it's a problem. Also, I did use the appearance tool. I will try to make one that works well on both visual modes. Mohammad.darg (talk) 12:25, 28 June 2024 (UTC)[reply]
"half the time be automatically put on dark mode" - this is not true. Neither Android nor Apple have dark mode switched on by default. And I'm telling you that when I switched on dark mode on Wikipedia I had no issue. So I would suggest that it is an issue on your end, not with the page. For the minority of people for who this is an issue, they can take 10 seconds to switch it off to see the image clearer. It is a problem which is a product of settings people elect to switch on. Therefore, your new image must be at least as good as the existing image for it to be a non-disruptive edit to the article. SSSB (talk) 14:34, 28 June 2024 (UTC)[reply]
